Whether it's the digitalization of rail operations, "intelligent" maintenance or real-time communication - new technologies are the decisive lever for more capacity, quality and punctuality on the railways. They are the essential requirement for a massive increase in rail transport performance. Only by radically digitizing the railroad system can we make rail sustainable as the most climate-friendly mode of transport. And we can do so worldwide. After all, as we all know, challenges do not stop at borders. There is a significant premise for this: Decision-makers and experts in the mobility industry need to understand the technology in order to use it effectively. In more than 180 years of rail transport, Deutsche Bahn has developed unique expertise. Combined with the growth in digital know-how in recent years, we have become a digital rising star:

Cloud, 5G, data, 3D printing, to name just a few examples. Through the DB Rail Academy, we share this knowledge worldwide. After all, we are convinced that only the sharing of knowledge creates innovation. One new offering is the "Digital Rail Manager Program". In 6 modules over 16 weeks, participants receive a very good overview of new technologies and their application in the rail sector. Concrete examples will show what is and what is not working in the railroad sector. Because "trial and error" is also an essential principle when it comes to implementing innovations.
